My First Quarter Reflection
The first quarter of Grade 10 has been a rollercoaster. It was tiring, stressful, and sometimes confusing—but it also helped me grow. I met many different people: classmates with different personalities, teachers with different styles, and students with different dreams. It wasn’t always easy, but I’ve learned that all of this is part of life. Every experience has a reason, and every challenge teaches us something.
This quarter, I learned many new things that I didn’t know
before. My knowledge grew, and I was able to understand topics that used to
confuse me. Particularly, in ICT 10, I discovered a lot about the internet. I
learned about: The timeline of the internet—how it started and how it grew over
time, the first email ever sent and when the word “internet” was first used, the
history of the internet in the Philippines, and the people who helped build it,
different search engines and how they help us find information, what blogs and blog
posts are, and how people use them to share ideas, how internet access affects
our lives and why it’s important, and many more.
These lessons helped me understand how the internet works
and why it’s such a big part of our world today. It also made me realize how
lucky we are to have access to so much information. And of course, I had some
problems too. I struggled with. Distractions like social media and noise around
me, laziness and not feeling motivated, panic when deadlines were close, cramming
and procrastinating, which made things harder, and forgetting things quickly
because of short-term memory.
To deal with these problems, I tried to change my habits. I
started making a schedule to manage my time better, taking short breaks to
avoid burnout, studying a little every day instead of cramming everything at
once, asking for help when I didn’t understand something, and staying away from
distractions while studying.
I’m not perfect, but I’m trying my best to improve. I
promise to keep working on myself and to be more focused and responsible. As I
move into the next quarter, I want to do better. I will stay more organized and
avoid procrastination, focus on my goals and not let distractions stop me, be
more active in class and ask questions when I’m confused, take care of my
health and get enough rest, keep learning and growing, no matter how hard
things get.
At the end of the day, this journey is not just about
grades—it’s about becoming a better version of myself, serving and helping
others whenever I can, contributing to the betterment of this school and society,
and learning with passion for our knowledge must be limitless. And I’m ready to
keep going.
Im glad you survived the 1st quarter, Keep up!
