Clean and Green Starts with Us: Youth in Action for a Safer, Cleaner, and Greener Tomorrow (THEMATIC)
September is National Clean Up Month by virtue of Proclamation No. 244, while World Clean and Green Week is observed from September 17 to 23 every year. The Clean and Green campaign aims to protect and care for the environment by engaging the community in leading an environmentally conscious lifestyle. Natural phenomena can sometimes strike very hard and cause disasters if preventive measures have not been taken or if some human activities have harmed the natural environment or upset the balance of the ecosystem. Here are some ways we can help in reducing pollution, and protect and care for our home, the earth.
By participating in your barangay’s various programs to protect our society, this includes: the participation on the YCAP (Youth Civic Action Program) Clean-Up Drive, ARBOR Day, Operation Taob, and Operation Linis that was implemented by our club, the Interact Club.

OPERATION TAOB
This effort may seem small, but it’s a powerful step in protecting my community from disease such as dengue. By taking action, I’m not just cleaning, I’m saving lives, raising awareness, and showing that one person’s commitment can spark change. In a time when health risks are everywhere, Operation Taob reminds us that prevention is better than cure and begins at home, and responsibility starts with us.

OPERATION LINIS
Operation Linis is an act conducted by our club, the Interact club every Friday to make the school surroundings clean and more attractive. It’s important because a clean school helps everyone feel safe, proud, and happy. We believe that a clean environment is essential for a healthy and productive learning experience. Let's all commit to reducing waste and keeping our school green. This small effort shows that we care. And when we care, we make a big difference.

RECYCLING
Recycling is important because it helps reduce waste, save natural resources, and protect the environment. In this photo, we have sorted recyclable materials to make sure they don’t end up in landfills or pollute nature. This matters because recycling turns old items into new ones, lessens pollution, and helps build a cleaner and more sustainable future.
By joining activities like the YCAP Clean-Up Drive, Arbor
Day, Operation Taob, Operation Linis, and Recycling, we help keep our school and barangay
clean and safe. By doing our part during National Clean-Up Month and World
Clean and Green Week, we show that young people can lead by example and make a
real impact—right here, right now.
