A Letter to the President

PRESIDENT, REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES

Malacañang Palace, Manila

 

Dear President Marcos:


          Greetings of peace, unity, and prosperity in the name of our king and savior, Jesus Christ, the Almighty God. Magandang Araw po.

          I am writing to express my deep appreciation for your efforts and accomplishments in your current administration, particularly as highlighted in your 4th State of the Nation Address. I am pleased with the progress you have made in various sectors, especially in agriculture, economy, transportation, health, and education.

          I commend your dedication to agricultural development, such as your pledge to achieve P20 per kilo of rice, provide agricultural scholarships through the DOST, implement a complete rice processing system, and extend support to farmers and fisherfolk. Your tangible accomplishments—such as assistance to 8.5 million farmers and fisherfolk, allocation of ₱113 billion to the Department of Agriculture, and improved farm-to-market infrastructure—are noteworthy milestones.

          Your initiatives in strengthening the economy, expanding social welfare programs like the 4Ps, creating more employment opportunities, and inviting both local and foreign investments give me hope for a stronger and more inclusive nation. I also value the projects in the transportation sector, from major infrastructure developments to fare discounts that benefit many Filipinos.

          In the health sector, your administration’s effort to provide more accessible medical services, increase PhilHealth benefits, and ensure free essential treatments is truly commendable. Likewise, in education, your actions in building more classrooms, expanding child development centers, supporting free college education, and increasing teacher support demonstrate your commitment to the future of our youth. I sincerely hope that you will be able to fulfill the promises you have laid out, and I encourage you and your administration to remain steadfast in your vision.

          Alongside these, I respectfully request greater transparency and accountability in the budgeting and spending of public funds, as this will further strengthen public trust and that tax payers are served well and ensure that every peso serves its intended purpose-to give the best for the Filipino people.

          Thank you for your service and leadership. May you continue to guide our nation toward progress, unity, and prosperity. I appreciate the time you’ve spent for reading this.

    After reading what our president accomplished for our country made me hopeful that our country will continue to rise and shine. I hope that the problems we are facing right now will be addressed right away.

    I am deeply overjoyed with what you have written. It feels like a change in environment in reading the positive outcomes made by our president because I mostly see negative comments and criticism towards the negative issues surrounding our country.
